What happens when the internet or the device goes offline?

Hestaurant requires an active internet connection to process and synchronize customer orders in real time. If your restaurant loses internet access, new orders cannot be placed or received until the connection is restored.

During an internet outage at the restaurant, we recommend temporarily using printed (physical) menus and taking orders manually until your connection is available again. Once internet access is restored, staff can enter those orders into Hestaurant using the Manual Order Entry feature available in the Business Dashboard or through the Hestaurant Collab app for waiters.

If the customer’s device is offline, there is no need to interrupt service. Your staff can simply take the order manually using the waiter app or create it directly from the Business Dashboard, ensuring the customer can continue dining without issues.

For the best customer experience, we also recommend providing free Wi-Fi for your guests whenever possible. This helps customers access the digital menu, place orders, and complete payments without relying on their mobile data connection.
