How do I onboard my restaurant and complete initial setup? Estimated reading: 3 minutes 717 views Setting up your restaurant with Hestaurant is designed to be fast and straightforward. The onboarding process guides you through every essential step, allowing you to start receiving orders within minutes. Step 1 — Create Your Account Begin by creating your Hestaurant Business account. After signing in, register your restaurant by providing: Restaurant name Business category Business address Contact information Once completed, your restaurant dashboard will be created automatically. Step 2 — Build Your Digital Menu Next, create your digital menu. Navigate to Items → Menu and begin adding your menu categories and products. For each menu item, you can configure: Name Description Price Photos Category Availability Size Optional extras Multiple flavors (for pizzas and similar products) To take full advantage of Hestaurant’s inventory features, associate each menu item with its corresponding ingredients in Utilities section. This enables automatic stock management and production cost calculations. Step 3 — Invite Your Team Open Administration → Collaborators and invite your employees by entering their email addresses. Assign each person an appropriate role, such as: Manager Kitchen Staff / Chef Cashier Order Operator Waiter You can view the permissions for each user profile by hovering your mouse over the question mark (?) symbol in the respective section! Step 4 — Configure Tables Create your restaurant layout by navigating to Orders → Tables. Start by creating table areas (Indoor, Patio, Second Floor, etc.), then create individual tables and assign them to each area. Every table automatically receives its own QR Code. Customers simply scan the QR Code to access your digital menu, join the table, and begin placing orders. Step 5 — Connect Payments To receive online payments, connect your Stripe account. Navigate to: Administration → Receipt Settings and Actions Follow the Stripe authorization process to securely link your account. Once connected, your restaurant can receive and manage payments directly through the Stripe platform. Step 6 — Place a Test Order Before opening to customers, perform a complete test. Use the customer application—or manually create an order from the Business Dashboard—and verify that: Orders appear in the queue Kitchen notifications work correctly Order statuses update properly Inventory is deducted automatically Payments are processed successfully Running a few test orders helps ensure everything is configured correctly before serving real customers. Recommended Best Practices For the best experience, we recommend: Uploading high-quality menu images. Registering all ingredients before opening your restaurant (Optional). Testing multiple payment methods. Training your staff on the ordering workflow. Printing and testing every table’s QR Code (Create additional extra tables for emergencies). A well-configured restaurant provides a smoother experience for both your team and your customers.
